Housed within our newly refurbished Cotie building, you will find nearly 5,000 square feet of purpose-built professional workspace, available to all businesses, big and small.
Our innovation centre contains everything from an expertly-equipped development zone with 3D manufacturing technology; a relaxed yet professional conferencing spaces; open-plan hot desks complete with high-spec and fully-loaded PCs; a state-of-the-art cleanroom; and two crisply modern design pods, Green space, Immersive Space, XR equipment and Kits to built and to inspire collaboration and creativity.
It doesn’t matter where you are on your journey; whether you have an original idea that deserves to be explored, or are nearing development and require proof of concept, we are here to provide you with the tools, tech and facilities to turn great ideas into successful products.
Clean Space
North Devon is renowned for its low-pollution levels, outstanding air quality, and water purity; because of this we find ourselves home to global players in the pharmaceutical, agri-tech, aeronautical, FMCG, filtration, and electronics-based manufacturing industries.
But we don’t believe that a business’ lack of facilities should be a barrier to technological or manufacturing advancement.
So, for those businesses that require an enclosed space in which airborne particulates, contaminants, and pollutants are kept within strict parameters, but lack access to the industrial cleanroom facilities enjoyed by bigger companies, we invite you to use our purpose-built, professional-standard Clean Space.
The Tech Spec:
• 5000mm x 3000mm clean space with approximately 2150m³ of HEPA filtered air per hour
• Over 60 air changes per hour in accordance with BS EN 14644 ISO Class 7
• Dual CAMT2000 clean air modules installed, to maintain correct pressure levels and provide in excess of the required 3600m³

Immersive Suite (G08)
Our Immersive Suite is where you can create shared immersive experiences to suit a wide range of needs.
A space where you can bring your concepts to life, many companies are using immersive technology to deliver a program of learning and development and health and safety initiatives fast-tracking the induction of recruits and improving employee retention.
The Igloo visualisations bring your architectural engineering and construction designs to life. If you create 3D, CAD, CGI, or BIM content, use 360 films, or want to show clients or stakeholders how your finished concepts will look and feel then our fully immersive space is a highly engaging platform to use.

Extended Reality Suite (G03)
The extended reality (XR) suite is a versatile space that can integrate various immersive technologies, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR). The room is designed to accommodate 20 individuals on tiered seating, providing an optimal viewing experience for immersive content.
An interactive board on wheels allows for dynamic presentations and collaborative activities, enhancing the overall engagement of the participants.
Additionally, the room features a green-painted wall that can be utilised as a green screen, enabling the creation of augmented and virtual reality content.
The suite can be equipped with a comprehensive set of photographic and immersive technology equipment, including cameras such as the Canon EOSR5 Mirrorless Camera, Ricoh Theta Z1, Insta 360 Pro 2, and Insta 360 X3. The presence of monitoring devices like the ATOMOS Ninja V ATOM, along with VR headsets such as the Oculus Quest and Vive Pro, ensures a seamless and high-quality immersive experience for the users. The inclusion of lighting rigs, 3D scanners (Einscan Pro 2X and Einscan HD Scanner), and movable green screens further enhances the creative and technical capabilities of the suite.
The XR suite is a versatile environment that can be utilised for various purposes, including corporate training, marketing, entertainment, and product development.
It offers the opportunity to create interactive virtual worlds, immersive 3D environments, realistic simulations, and training simulations. The Print Room is located Petroc’s North Devon campus next to Cotie and is open to students as well as the general public.
They offer a range of services including the production of posters, flyers, business cards, badges, invitations, roll-up banners, binding, lamination, and high-quality colour or black and white printing
